New layout, obviously. I honestly adore this one so much. I went through like five other layouts, including a pretty cool animated Taylor Swift one, but this is my favorite of all. And I now have those little web icons for the time and what I'm listening to and stuff, thanks to Ercoire.org. I've wanted to have them for a while but I could never find I set I liked till now. :P
Well my first day of junior year was on Monday. I got to school and ran into like three people before I made it into the theatre room, where I knew Rebecca was, so I could say hi to Ms. Little and to Becca. Stephanie and Nick were in there, too (I hadn't seen either of them all summer), and so Stephanie ran to give me a hug and we literally collided, then Nick gave me a hug and he picked me like three feet off the ground.
Physics, first period, actually doesn't seem as bad as I thought. I have Nick, Ryan, and Jessica all in there right around my seat, so I might actually have more fun in this class than I did in Chemistry last year, where I didn't know anybody. Except Mrs. Brown is actually a little... well, dull. But she's better than Mrs. Spriggs last year, uggh. But then again, Hitler would be better than her.
Lanie's in my Spanish 2 class, and our teacher is brand new (like over half of the teachers at the school, including the principal, are brand new), and he's such a pushover! Like, honestly. And then yesterday, he spelled a Spanish word wrong. I'm just like: ..... So last year I get a teacher who taught us mainly "Godzilla" and "gato", and this year I get one who can't even spell the language we're trying to learn... Yipee.
I know everyone in my AP English III class, but it won't be better than last year. Mrs. Blakely's okay, but Ms. Dorsett was sooooooooo awesome last year that Mrs. Blakely is nothing to compare. We have a test over The Great Gatsby today, and two autobiographical essays due tomorrow that we'll read to the class on Friday after a vocabulary test. Ugh.
I was so worried I'd be the only junior in my AP Algebra II class, because I know last year a lot of my sophomore friends took it, but surprisingly about half of the class are juniors. And my friend Robert's in there, and he sits right behind me... last year, we had the same Geometry teacher, and all year long we fought each other in grades and ended up making the exact same grades on everything. So this class will be interesting. ;) But the teacher reminds me of Allan from Two and a Half Men. He looks like an older version of him and even dresses like him. It's kinda cool. =P
My AP US History teacher is hilarious. On the first day after lunch, these two seniors who apparently had him last year came in before Coach Williams came back and wrote "Kelsey and Nolan are AWESOME" on the board. When Coach Williams saw that, he erased "AWESOME" and wrote "RETARDED". It was sooooo funny. And then in lunch I sit with Emi (who I don't have classes with this year =( It's sad), Logan, Zach, Sarah, and a couple other people. I don't like going through the lunch line though... first day, I only had ten minutes left to eat after I got through the line. I was like: ... Dude, not cool.
My CMAT class is completely over HTML and Photoshop and stuff like that, so can anyone guess what that means? EASY 100!!!! I knew what I'd have to do in that class, but I took it because I needed a technology credit. Ms. Stockdale (who looks just like a student, I swear) was talking about the programs we'd use, and each time she'd ask if any of us had used that program before, and each time I'd raise my hand because they were programs I knew backwards and forwards (like Windows Movie Maker and Dreamworks and Fireworks). So that class will be uber simple. And, for right now, I'm sitting by my friend Jimmy, who sat by me in Speech last year. So we have a pretty interesting time talking about how I used to act towards Julio before we actually started dating. =P
And last but not least, theatre. There are soooooo many sophomores in there who weren't in One Act last year. You aren't supposed to be in Production unless you were in One Act the previous year. Ms. Little's told Lanie and Erin numerous times that they can't be in it because they weren't in One Act, and then she turns around and accepts all these anorexic, bubbly-blond sophomores who probably don't even know what the definition of "acting" is. Lanie got soooo pissed off when I told her. But other than that, the class is cool. We're doing Pillow Talk for our fall show this year, and we're not sure exactly what our One Act play will be, but we do know it's a Holocaust play.
And then I have early release, because I'm awesome. =D
So that's basically it. I have to go finish getting ready for school. I'll try and have some more pictures up soon!
